SUSTAINING EXCELLENCE AT SANTA BARBARA HIGH SCHOOL
Established in 1875, Santa Barbara High School has seen generations of students pass through its halls and proudly assume the mantle of the Dons. In recent years, as with nearly every public school in California, it has been hit hard by the ongoing cuts to the state budget for education and faces a challenge to maintain the standards that we expect from our flagship public school. Nevertheless, the school is in a position to thrive, with the leadership of our new principal, John Becchio, and the dedication of our amazing teachers and staff. Given the resources, these educators have the talent and vision to set SBHS on a course that will guide it for years to come.
Now is the time to rally together to sustain the venerable tradition of the Dons. The Santa Barbara High School Education Foundation is committed to bridging the gaps in our school budget so that SBHS can continue to offer an outstanding educational experience to all students.
